The vibration module uses both the SW-420 vibration sensor and LM393 comparator to detect if there is any vibration that is beyond the threshold. The threshold can be adjusted by the on-board potentiometer.
This module will output a LOW logic signal when there is no vibration and hence HIGH when a vibration is detected.
