The DSM501 dust sensor senses the density of particles in the air. It can be used to quantitative particle (> 1 micron) measurement; which can sense tobacco smoke, pollen, and dust particles. The sensor consists of a light emitting diode, detector, signal amplifier circuit and heater, it can be used in applications such as the air cleaner or air purifier.
