This water sensor works by having a series of exposed traces connected to ground, once water is present the ground traces will connect with the sensing traces. With the on-board LM393 comparator, users can get both an analog or digital signal. You can also adjust the sensitivity with the on-board potentiometer.
The sensor will output a HIGH signal when there is no water, and LOW once water touches the ground and sensing traces. You can also use the analog output to calculate the amount of water present.
